Thermal shock Resistance
Release time:
Jul 01,2023
Information Summary:

The thermal shock resistance of glass-lined equipment is closely related to the compressive stress on the glass surface. The higher the compressive stress, the better the thermal shock resistance. On the other hand, the compressive stress decreases with the increase of temperature. Therefore, the allowable temperature difference between rapid heating and rapid cooling often depends on the wall temperature of the container, and is also affected by the volume, shape and operating conditions of the container. The two charts on the right show the maximum allowable difference between hot and cold temperatures under different operating conditions. However, this table is only applicable to standard glass-lined reactor with a capacity of less than 15m³
