Stirrer is an important part of glass-lined equipment. A good agitator can not only greatly improve the mixing efficiency, shorten the reaction time, increase the yield of the finished product, improve the quality of the product, etc., but also extend the service life of the mechanical seal. The following is an introduction to the main defects of domestic glass-lined stirrers for reference:
(1) The mechanical seal section is not subjected to finishing (precision grinding): the radial runout of the upper mechanical seal section after finishing is ≤0.5mm, while the radial runout of the upper section of the agitator without finishing can reach 2~3mm. It will lead to poor reliability of the mechanical seal and shorten the service life.
(2) The width, height and shape of the anchor wing of the anchor type and frame type agitator do not meet the standards. The poor symmetry of the anchor wing leads to poor dynamic balance. The lower end swings when the agitator rotates at high speed, the mechanical seal cannot be sealed, and the service life is short. The width and height are not enough, and the mixing efficiency is low.
(3) The upper wing angle deviation of impeller type stirring is large, and the standard stipulates that it should be 15°. When the upper wing angle is 15°, the mixing efficiency is the highest at this time. The impeller of the glass-lined stirrer will be deformed during high temperature firing, and the control is not strict, the deviation is large, and the stirring efficiency is low.
(4) The anchor wings of the anchor type and frame type agitator are round. At present, a considerable number of users are still using this form of agitator, which is a very backward approach. The circular anchor wing is a 79-standard structure, and the mixing efficiency is very low. The reason is simple. If the oar of a boat is a round rod, it is difficult for the boat to row fast. Therefore, it is recommended that users choose 91 standard agitators. The anchor wing is squashed, and the ratio of height to width should be 1:2. When the height is too high, the efficiency of the agitator is low; the starting resistance of the wide motor is large, and the motor may be burnt.
(5) The lower end of the agitator has a large swing. The agitator will be affected by factors such as temperature difference during the sintering process, causing the agitator shaft to bend, and it must be straightened at a high temperature to meet the standard requirements. However, many manufacturers have reduced this process in order to reduce costs. The agitator produced in this way has a large lower end swing due to bending, and the dynamic balance is poor.
