At room temperature, 200BW glaze can withstand any medium with PH value. However, with the increase of temperature, the corro-
sion resistance of glass-lined to alkali decreases. For the solution of sodium hydroxide and potassium hydroxide with PH (> 14), the
corresponding maximum operating temperatures at different concentrations are 66℃ at 10%, 60℃ at 20%, 57°℃ at 30%, 54℃ at
50%
In neutralization operation, the highest operating temperature is 100 ℃ when the PH value is 13. When alkaline solutions or solids
are loaded into containers, the medium should be added to the central part of the container when the container is well stirred to
avoid the phenomenon of local overheating caused by the medium sticking to the glass-enameled surface.
Under alkaline anhydrous conditions, organic metal compounds other than fluoride have no effect on enamel.
