Information Summary:
(Example 1) Minimum permissible temperature (Tj<TW) for injection of cold liquid into a jacket of a hot con-tainer(Tw=200°℃)
Step:
1. Find out the wall temperature Tw = 200℃ on the abscissa axis of Figure B.
2. Draw a vertical line along the dot at 200C and intersect it at the edge of the blue area.
3. Make a horizontal line parallel to the abscissa and intersect the Tj points on the longitudinal coordinates.
Tjmin = 65°℃
(Example 2) Maximum permissible temperature (Tj> TW) for hot liquid injected into the jacket of a hot con-
tainer (Tw=30°℃)
Step:
1. Find out the wall temperature Tw = 30C on the abscissa axis of Figure B.
2. Draw a perpendicular line along the dot at 30C and intersect it at the edge of the red area.
3. Make a horizontal line parallel to the abscissa at the intersection point, which is comparable to the Tj point
on the longitudinal coordinate. Tjmax = 170℃
